Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) has delicate light blue to purple flowers that are 1/2 inch across and taste like a mild version of the herb. The whole flower can be used as a garnish or tossed into salads, but the base can be slightly bitter, so remove if necessary. Like the herb, the flower compliments the savory flavors of roasted meats and vegetables, but also balances sweet dishes.
