Valley Community Farm, Evan worked as a project manager

and community development for fifteen years.
During that time, Evan assisted with the start-up of
a number of
innovative organizations and projects in the Pittsburgh
area, including
Sustainable
Pittsburgh, Iron
Oxide Recovery, Inc., and
an experimental nonprofit vegetable farm in collaboration
with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
He was also invited to serve as the interim regional director with the

Jodi Verbanic
Prior to the founding of Cherry Valley Community Farm, Jodi worked in the
fields of environmental management and horticulture, and also taught
environmental science at the primary, secondary, and undergraduate levels.
She also worked for several years as a professional gardener for clients
throughout the Pittsburgh area.
The melding of her interests and skills in these fields
led to the formation of Urban Roots CSA in 2002, which
then evolved into Cherry Valley Community Farm over the
next few years.
When not directing on-farm operations, Jodi busies herself
with the planning for future programming at the farm. |
